Introduction
This is the first of what will be a regular Newsletter now that we are part of the Tingdene Marinas group. The idea is to keep you informed of news and developments at the marina, and also from time to time to ask your opinion and suggestions.

Marina Clubhouse
The clubhouse is open to all berth holders. The club offers
Good home cooked food and a good selection of Wine, Beer’s and Spirit’s. Entertainment most Saturday night’s. Ring 07864926563 for details.

Tingdene Marinas Loyalty Card
We are pleased to announce the introduction of the Tingdene Annual Moorers Loyalty card at Stourport Marina. The card is available to all permanent annual berth-holders at Stourport Marina and will be available for you to pick up in June. Benefits include:-
A total of fourteen (14) nights visitor mooring free of charge at any other Tingdene Marina, in any calendar year, for the same craft, subject to mooring availability.

Or for a longer-term move, you may transfer your account balance and mooring to any other Tingdene Marina, subject to berth availability.
Discounted fuel at Stourport Marina and at other Tingdene Marinas.

5% discount on Haven Knox-Johnston marine insurance.

Free unlimited use of marina slipway.

Free unlimited hardstanding.

New Pontoon Residents

So far she has ten eggs – the question is, how will they get out?

New Staff Member

We are pleased to announce that Malcolm Sargent has joined our staff team here at Stourport Marina. Most moorers will already know Malcolm, so we hope that you will join us in welcoming him to the marina staff.

Wireless Internet
We are pleased to announce that we have agreed terms with BTOpenzone to install wireless internet facilities at Stourport Marina. This facility is up and running at all the other marinas in the Tingdene group and has proved to be very popular.

This will be introduced during the coming season, and will allow any moorer to log on to the internet, send e-mails and so on from the comfort of your own boat, without the need to plug-in to a phone line.

2008 Tariff
We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the tariff structure to you.

The discounted annual in advance rate is the lowest cost option, and is afforded to those signing up for an annual contract. Payment is due before the start date of the contract; otherwise we may be unable to offer you the lower rate.

We also offer a tariff rate for annual contracts paid each month by Direct Debit. This helps to spread the cost, but please bear in mind that you would still be committing to an annual contract.

Alternatively, if you prefer not to commit to an annual contract, whether you pay in one installment or by direct debit, you are charged the monthly seasonal rate. If you wish to change from the monthly seasonal rate to an annual contract, please do not hesitate to contact the office on 01299 827082.

Mooring Licences
It is very important for us to have a current mooring contract for each moorer. If you receive one with this newsletter, please fill it in, sign it and return it as soon as possible. Please also note on the Licence the name of your boat insurance company.

We would also appreciate it if you would keep the office informed as to any changes in your contact details, especially mobile numbers, just in case we need to contact you in the event of an emergency.

Recycling
It is very difficult not to be aware of all the incredibly important environmental issues that face us all each day. We all can make small changes that would have a big impact. One simple way that everyone can get involved is recycling.

Over the summer, here at the marina, we will be designating bins for that purpose and ask each of you to take the time to separate your waste and place it in the correct container. Also please be aware of what you are putting in the “general” waste bin as lot of the waste produced from working on your boats, ie., paint, rollers, paint trays, rags etc are not considered general waste and must be disposed of separately.

It goes with out saying, that the bins here at the marina are for any waste you produce whilst on your boat and not an overflow for any extra “household” waste from outside.

Tingdene Marinas acquire Stourport Marina - April 2008

Tingdene is pleased to announce that they have acquired Stourport Marina, in Worcestershire. The marina, situated near to the top of the navigable River Severn, has associated chandlery, boat servicing, craning, engineering, and a thriving and popular Clubhouse, and is ideally situated for both canal and river boat owners.

There is a good mixture of moored boats, reflecting the proximity to the Midlands canal network, as well as the sea-going tradition of Severn boating.

Tingdene Marinas Ltd is one of the country’s leading marina operators. It now owns and manages seven marinas in the UK: Brundall Bay Marina, Pyrford Marina, Thames & Kennet Marina, Upton Marina, Walton Marina, and now Stourport Marina. This continues Tingdene Marina’s commitment to the marina industry, to providing quality marinas, and to giving their customers even greater choice and service.

Tingdene were attracted to the marina by the location and potential it has to provide a first class operation: as always, Tingdene will endeavor to maintain and improve upon the facilities and services already on offer to boat owners.
