Autumn’s arrived!

With a less than perfect summer to speak off Brundall Bay Marina would like it to be known that global warming has not reached Norfolk and please could we have some! Still you are all very pragmatic and just soldier on with your boating, shoulders back and a stiff upper lip. As in years gone by we can only hope for an Indian summer to finish off the year and put a spring in our steps and a smile on our faces before the dark nights pull in and the hard work starts for next season. Here’s Hoping!
Winter Package
It’s that time of the year again when our thoughts turn to dark nights and cocoa and getting the boats out for the end of the season. I have enclosed
the usual booking form for
you to complete, so even if you have booked a place please fill this in and return it to the office by the end of October.
Strawberries & Pimms.
The Riverfest was a great success again this year with quite a few of you
coming to see us at the
office to enjoy Tingdene’s treat of Strawberries & Pimms.
We really enjoyed seeing you all having fun and talking nineteen to the dozen about every subject under the sun. The art competition was a hit and great fun with lots of entries from our young boaters and everyone getting a prize. Would anyone like the competition extended to include adults? If so please let us know. Any other ideas you may have would be very welcome.
Contractors on the Marina.
There has been some confusion over booking contractors to work on your boats in the marina.
They must have a minimum of £5,000,000
public liability cover to work on the marina. Also they must sign in on arrival so please do not give them your barrier cards as your and other peoples’ property is entrusted to us to be kept secure and if berth holders are allowing cards to be used by others this cannot be guaranteed. If you have any questions on this subject please ask at the office.

Repairs & Safety
Mark has asked that if you have any concerns with repairs or safety on the marina could you report it to the office either in person or by letter so that any problem areas can be looked at. Alternatively send an E-mail to:
brundallbaymarina@tingdene.net
Coffee & Cake
Our coffee mornings have become more popular as the year has progressed and with our last one for this year held at the beginning of September so many thanks to those that came to see us this year and we hope that many more of you will pop in next year round about Easter time.
Pontoons & Walkways
Please be aware that in damp and wet weather the walkways and pontoons can become slippery. Please take extra care when enjoying the marina in these conditions.

For Sale Board
Mark has suggested that you may like a ‘For Sale’ section at the office so if you have any items for sale we will have post cards available for you to advertise your wares and they will be displayed on the side window.
Free Moorings
Don’t forget that you are eligible for two weeks free moorings at any of our other marinas in the Tingdene group. Brundall Bay had a couple of Tingdene moorers this summer and they had a great time exploring the Broads.
Power Tools
Please remember that power tools are not to be used on the main marina. This is to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy some peace and quiet which is usually the reason for having a boat. If you need to do some D.I.Y., call into the office and we will endeavor to get you on to a berth near the workshop.
Dogs
There are still some problems with users of the marina not having their pets on a lead. Please be aware that we do not ask that they be kept on a lead to spoil your or their fun but to make it safe for all users of the marina. Dog lovers or not.

Electric Cards
We know that some of you have not been able to get to your boats as much as you would like this season so if you need us to check your bollards or do any small service for you over the winter months please do ask. We are here to help and provide you with a personal & friendly marina for you to visit.
Parking & Bikes
Please do not park in the passing places on Kingfisher Quay and bikes are not to be ridden on the floating walkway. It is both dangerous and inconvenient to other berth holders. Many thanks.
